So, who am I?

I’m Jakson, a 23-year old game developer based out of Minnesota, USA. I’ve done work on several top-level games on Roblox; you can read about those on my Talent Hub page.

In case you can’t access it, a short way of explaining my connection with Roblox would be:

  • I started playing Roblox in 2010 & started learning how to make games in 2016. The only ad I’ve ever clicked was a Roblox ad.
  • I’m an experienced full-stack Luau developer, and I know just about everything there is to know about the Roblox engine.
  • I’m preparing to work at Roblox as a software engineering intern (working on Platform Chat) during Summer 2026.
  • I’ve attended RDC 24/25, led integrations in official Roblox events, and gave a talk at RDC ‘25 about community to other devs.
  • I’ve spearheaded games that peaked out at 150k concurrent users at once.
  • I’ve made many mistakes along the way and know what not to do.

Okay, enough Roblox. What about you as a person?

Well, I like the snow. It’s pretty here in MN, and I like driving and hiking through it. a picture of snow a picture of snow

I have a Teverun Fighter Mini Pro electric scooter. It’s quite powerful and fun. I’d like to replace my car with it, but that requires moving to an area that doesn’t require cars. Not easy here. a picture of an electric scooter

I’m obsessed with ergonomics. I have a split keyboard (Cloud Nine C959), currently looking at the Moonlander, and I currently have 5 different mice on my desk that I switch between at a given time. My favorite is the Logitech MX Ergo (the green ball). 5 different computer mice on my desk

This website runs on a Raspberry Pi 4 I’ve had since 2022. It also runs my Discord bots and some game infrastructure. It’s quite the warrior.

I like travelling. I’ve been to Mexico, Estonia, & Amsterdam, and would like to visit Finland. Travel photos someday.

Unsurprisingly, I like video games. Factorio is probably my favorite game of all time, followed by Super Mario Galaxy. Recommendations page someday.
